The right way to treat your affiliate marketing business

August 19th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in affiliate internet marketing tip, affiliate marketing business, affiliate marketing failure, affiliate marketing guide, best affiliate marketing program

Maybe the single greatest part of affiliate marketing is that is can make you as much money as a real online business that sells a product or service without all the hassle that comes with inventory, shipping and returns. But that profit only comes with proper planning and care.

Let’s take a look at a few things you need to do to make sure that your affiliate marketing venture is worthwhile and done the right way.

• Do you research first. If you were considering starting a business in the real world, you wouldn’t just go rent out a piece of property, get the permits and open your business the next week. You would learn everything there is to know about the business you chose and you would try to make your business as successful as possible. While you may not need the same level of dedication with your affiliate marketing site, you should have a good idea of what you want you site to sell, what product you want to sell and where you are going to get your content from before you start.

Are you a good enough content writer to have 15 different programs on your site, or do you only have strong feelings for two or three products and you want to stick to them? You need to give your affiliate marketing program a real chance to work so once you pick a style and theme, stick to it for a while to see if it makes you money or not.

Affiliate marketing is, in no conceivable way, multi-level marketing. In most cases, a site that wants to advertise pays another site to direct traffic to them. There are multi-level affiliate marketing set ups that have one site direct traffic to another site and then that site directs people to the site that pays both previous sites, but even in this case, the customer isn’t tricked or misled and there isn’t any sort of financial transaction that takes place, either. Multi-tiered affiliate marketing is simply another way for web pages to create traffic and revenue.

While there is no guarantee that affiliate marketing will turn into a cash cow, with enough hard work, the odds are in your favor. When you combine a cool site design with quality content and a good mix of interesting links, you are bound to get a good number of hits that will quickly translate into dollars for you. Give it a try, you might be surprised at how well it works!

• Learn the basics. You don’t have to be an expert web designer or web content writer to make money off of your affiliate marketing site, but it sure helps. Luckily, there are a slew of fantastic low-cost programs out there that can walk you through web site creation step by step so that even if you don’t know HTML from Java, you can have a great looking website. The same goes for web content. Your content needs to be informative, fun and interesting AND it needs to sell your product all at the same time. It sounds complicated but it really isn’t. You can head to your local library or bookstore to find books on how to write web content or you can simply read other affiliate marketing sites to get some pointers. If shoppers aren’t captivated by your site, they won’t use it. Plain and simple.

While it can be tempting to just throw up a quick, basic website with little to no content so you can start making money right away, the experienced affiliate marketer knows better. Take the time and do it right and you’ll see the results in your bank account.

The Benefits of Affiliate Marketing Training

August 1st, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in affiliate internet marketing tip, affiliate marketing business, affiliate marketing failure, affiliate marketing training, what are the most successful home based businesses, what is a niche market

A tendency exists among new affiliates to jump into the game as quickly as possible, and ‘learn as they go.’ If you’ve some natural marketing talent or background, this approach can work. However, newbies should consider the benefits of investing in an affiliate marketing training program before they ever set up their first affiliate site.

In fact, the more prone you are to learning by trial and error, the more I would recommend putting yourself through a training program.

Why?

Quite simply, a good affiliate training program will save you months, possibly even years, of frustration. You might even save yourself from outright failure. Affiliate marketing is easy in principle, but highly competitive. You’ve got to go a step beyond just setting up a web site and driving traffic through your affiliate link.

Affiliate success depends on a number of diverse skill sets, each of which makes up a crucial piece of the marketing process. Understanding how to target a market, and further target solutions to that market, are just the first two pieces of the puzzle.

You’ve also got to learn how to drive truly market-specific traffic to your site, and how to convert that traffic once it gets there. This requires more than getting product images and links in front of visitors. It involves providing real, useful information.

Affiliate marketing training can give you all of this, and it can also give you a clear idea of how to structure the type of information your market desires.

For instance, many affiliates have discovered that providing balanced product reviews goes a long way in increasing conversions. However, some markets respond more strongly to simple opt-in pages, or free reports they’ve discovered themselves at ebook distribution sites.

Do you know which strategy works best for which products? Do you understand how your market wants to receive information, or the ways in which they prefer you sell to them?

Likewise, do you know how the truly profitable affiliate businesses are built? I can guarantee you it’s not about tossing up just one affiliate site and getting rich overnight.

Wherever you are in the process, you can always benefit from continuing your education. An investment in an affiliate marketing training program truly is an investment in your long-term success!

July 22nd, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in 7 deadly sins for affiliate marketing, affiliate internet marketing tip, affiliate marketing business, affiliate marketing failure, email autoresponders, home base internet business, List building Tool, niche affiliate marketing, what are the most successful home based businesses, what is a niche market

There are 3 types of investments that all internet business owners have to make. An “A bill” refers to an investment that your business cannot go without; this will be something that can push your business to the next level. A “B Bill” is something that is important to your venture but you can also choose to put it aside for the time being as they are on your second priority. The last type of investment is a “C bill”, this refers to anything that your does not need at all and it will not affect the way you want to run your company.

Getting a web hosting and domain name for your business are just as important as to get an automated email service. Auto responders are an absolute essential part of developing a successful Internet business. They are often used as e-mail marketing tools, to immediately provide information to their prospective customers and then follow-up with them at preset time intervals. Auto responders are useful to webmasters in a few ways: They can be used at your technical support email address to tell your users that you have received their message and will get back to them soon. It is an important tool that you have to get to build that trusting relationship with your prospect that will lead to sales and turn customers into royal lifetime paying customers.

First step of business relation building starts from sending out the first email. Your potential buyers have to get your marketing electronic messages in their inboxes before they can ever get to read what’s inside the content, click on links and ultimately placing orders. This can be done by using a company that has top notch email deliverability. They basically have established strong relationships with major ISP and have a zero tolerance anti-spam policy. How can you benefit from such practice? Since these service providers offer content filter-checking tools to all users, you can be assured that all your messages will be landed on your prospects’ inbox.

You can also switch from normal text messages to a HTML version. This email format offers many advantages over the plain old version, most people love colourful and attractive images or newsletters. You can add your company logo on any professionally designed templates to match your branding. You can also set up unlimited campaigns without being charged per message sent. Such freedom allows users to focus on emailing their subscribers at the frequency that they want. They can send as many messages as desired with no extra charge.

We can find many auto responder services in the market that offer low price plans. You have to take the following points into deep consideration before you sign up.

A) Do you want to pay a cheaper rate but putting your business profits at risk? Sometimes cheap does not means the service is good, your messages may not reach the subscribers inbox as often as you wish

B) Is it complicated for you to use? Simplicity is still the most important element that attracts users. You wouldn’t want to waste hours of your precious time to watch the demonstration videos and yet still unable to figure it out yourself.

C) Do they offer professional customer support and training? At many companies, customer service is a dying art. They will not bother to offer any live chat support for non paying clients. In business, all customers should be treated equally, you should avoid giving your hard earn money to any service providers who do not care about growing your business with you.

D) Follow the crowd. What does this mean? Conduct a simple research by looking at what services that most online business owners are using. If 7 out of 10 of them are using the same auto responder service, what does this tell you? This finding will be strong enough to convince you what truly works best for your internet marketing

Nutrients To Your Affiliate Marketing Diet

July 20th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in affiliate internet marketing tip, affiliate marketing business, home base internet business, niche affiliate marketing, what are the most successful home based businesses, what is a niche market

Think of banner ads as the spice in your affiliate diet. Sprinkle them around, but for a heartier helping of sales, you’ll need something more solid! Learn to give your visitors longer, more descriptive pre-sales text. Revamp your affiliate advertising using these simple steps:

Pull the Reader in

To convince your audience that your text is worth reading, make your first sentence or two very interesting. Make a bold statement, say something seemingly ridiculous, or appeal to your prospect’s emotional side. Then, tie this grabber in with the rest of your copy.

Introduce the Product

What is the product you’re advertising? What does it do? Directly after your grabber, give a compact explanation of your product. Keep this explanation short, while still being very clear. This should still be a very short section of your text.

Tell the Reader to Make a Purchase

You’ve come so far – you’ve laid out exactly what the product is and how it will help your unique audience. Now, seal the deal – tell your readers to purchase the product! Include your affiliate link in this section.

This step may sound strange, but it’s necessary. Often, people hear about a product and are genuinely interested, but fail to actually make a purchase. A clear call to a simple action cuts down on buyer ambivalence. Don’t be pushy – just change your verb tenses to the imperative. Instead of:

“If you think that you fit this profile, you might want to think about buying this product.”

Say: “Click here to order an account today.”

Drive Sales – Use Long Copy

If you don’t feel ready to write long copy yourself, ask your affiliate program manager for help! Many companies release well-written articles by respected authors that you can reprint free of charge.

The novelty of the Web is wearing off. People online now are busy. Surfers won’t make a purchase unless you make a great case for what they’ll get out of it. And you’re not going to do that with just a banner ad.

Magic Potion For Your Affiliate Business – Niche Marketing

July 16th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in affiliate marketing business, affiliate marketing failure, home base internet business, niche affiliate marketing, what are the most successful home based businesses, what is a niche market

If you have been in affiliate marketing business for period of time or you are thinking of entering this business, you are very likely to hear almost as often as the phrase, “target a good niche” What does this mean, and why is niche marketing such a ‘magic potion’ to your internet marketing business? Niches are seen to be profitable for one primary reason: they allow you to focus on providing information, products or services for a market that is neglected by more general websites or businesses. Hence, your goal is not just about building a list, but building a niche targeted list that is different from the mass market.

To begin, what exactly is niche marketing? It is the process of finding and serving profitable market segments and designing custom-made products or services for them. It is literally concentrating all of your marketing efforts upon a well defined segment of the population. It allows your business to be a big fish in a small pond – and that can pay off in a big way. Most importantly, it is the key to developing a profitable business that will make you stand out from the crowd.

=> Grab a copy of free ebook that reveals all unknown secrets to your affiliate marketing success here <=

The answer is that all of this talk about niche marketing is really nonsensical. Such marketing tactic is not a revolutionary idea. Any educated marketer will tell you that niches are and have always been the foundation of successful marketing strategy.

So, when we talk about niche affiliate marketing, what we’re really saying is to target the sub market of a mass market, rather than trying to tackle the broader market as a whole.

I’m not saying that you totally cannot sell everything to everyone, but it will definitely cost you more time and effort to make a living. To focus your marketing effort to a specific group will transform you into a guru, an advisor whom this group of people will turn to. Think of the car manufacturing industry, for example. There are companies that produce car parts, such as accessories. there are companies that produces specific engines for the cars. Few, if any, corporations ‘do it all.’

The same concept also applies to affiliate business, your targeting should focus not just on market subset themselves but only the solutions (products) you offer to the market. In other words, you must target your solutions to an ideal customer within the market. A good example is supermarket, big hyper marts tend to offer a lot of varies, what is their goals? That is to target all classes of buyers, you can buy your shampoo or groceries all under one roof. Have you ever notice supermarkets that cater to the need of the niche group too? For instance, stores that sell organic products, you can never find any other items from such stores other than organic items. Who buys from them? What is their motive? We are all aware that people buy organic items for environmental or health purposes. Such market is indeed booming. As an affiliate, you can make use of this example to find your own profitable niche to market with.

We can illustrate this point further. The marketing of automobiles differs in approach from one brand of car to the next. Ultra luxury cars, such as Rolls- Royce are not marketed the same way as economy cars. In fact, if you advertised such ultra luxury vehicle the same way you advertise a mini-van, your sales would plummet.

Why?

The reason for such failure is obvious, although both cars fall in the same the auto mobile market, but they are two different groups which represent two different types of customer mindset. The customer who purchases the multi purpose car is looking for an affordable, family-oriented transportation solution. The customer who has the ability to purchase an ultra luxury car is looking for status and recognition . To avoid putting all your hopes into one basket, I recommend developing several niches rather than having to depend on one.

Before you jump into any of the special group of market, remind yourself of the explanations and examples that i had stated whenever you’re researching potential niche markets. Follow your heart and interest, do a good market research of the latest trends. You will be able to make a good standing in this industry in time.
